Water Service Providers

Cupertino has three water service areas as shown on the Water Service Map(PDF, 960KB).

The orange area is owned and operated by San Jose Water Company (SJWC). The green area is owned and operated by California Water Service Company.

The purple area is operated by San Jose Water per a lease agreement for City-owned water services infrastructure that was executed in 1997 and amended in 2019. The current water services infrastructure lease agreement is set to expire in September of 2022 and the City is preparing to release a request for proposals to identify a leaseholder for future water services in that area using the City’s water services infrastructure.
