Cupertino Building Permit Center

Permits are issued in order to ensure that appropriate plans and documents have been reviewed and resulting construction is inspected to satisfy local, state, and federal requirements.

Permits are issued in the Permitting Hours listed below, and Permit Technicians are available to answer questions during the Counter Hours listed below. The Building Counter is located downstairs at 10300 Torre Avenue in Cupertino, CA.

In-Person Counter Hours

M: 7:30-12:00 & 1:00-4:00
T: 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00
W: 7:30-12:00 & 1:00-4:00
Th: 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00

Virtual Counter Hours

F: 7:30-12:00 & 1:00-3:00

Building Division over-the-counter plan reviews are available between 10am-12pm Monday through Thursday.

Fire Department virtual over-the-counter plan reviews are available between 11am-12pm Tuesday and Thursday.

Alert!

In observance of the winter holiday, the building division will be closed on Monday December 25th to January 2nd. During this closure, the virtual permit Center will not be accepting any permit submittals or inquiries. Submittals will be accepted on Wednesday, January 3rd, for processing.

Normal counter services will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
