Volunteering at the Cupertino Senior Center

When you dedicate your time and talents as a Cupertino Senior Center volunteer you are helping to provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for everyone 50+, enhancing a healthy lifestyle through quality education, recreation, services, travel, socials, and volunteer opportunities.

There are many different types of volunteer positions behind the scenes, interacting with members, teaching courses, and even out in our community. Cupertino Senior Center volunteers play a pivotal role in creating a positive, healthy, and connected community. Qualifications

Volunteers must be current members of the Senior Center and 50+ in age.

  • Selection of the volunteer is based on their qualifications for a specific assignment or project and the needs of the Senior Center as determined by the Senior Center staff.
  • A volunteer cannot serve in a volunteer capacity where a conflict of interest exists.

How to Apply

Prospective volunteers must apply through the Volunteer portal. Apply to the Senior Center for evaluation by staff. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview process, and are required to complete a fingerprinting background check.

Recording Volunteer Hours

Volunteers are required to keep track of their service hours by logging into the volunteer page. This can be done by clicking on Hours Log then input the activity, date, and number of hours and minutes. Click save to complete the service hours entry. Begin by clicking on Volunteer Login to the left.
