Looking for a good excuse to get out of the house? Looking for a place to meet friends, old and new? The Senior Center offers many fun and exciting social activities including international-themed luncheons, golf and tennis socials, card playing, monthly birthday luncheon, bingo, and much more.

Day Pass Program

For a $5 fee, non-members are able to attend the Senior Center for social activities and one-day lectures. For any luncheons, senior guest will pay the day pass fee plus the fee for the activity. Day users will receive a one-day parking permit. Non-members may sign-up for the Day Pass at the front desk. You may download the Day Pass form(PDF, 379KB)  in advance.

Monthly Social and Birthday Bash

Held each month, this party features a great lunch, special entertainment, and birthday cake to honor seniors' special day. Check out the list below for some of the special themes celebrated each year.

Spring/Summer

Luau Luncheon – June
Celebrate Hawaiian culture with Hawaiian music and dance and partake in a traditional luau.

Independence Day Luncheon – July
Celebrate our nation’s birthday with patriotic songs and an all-American barbecue.

Fall

Oktoberfest Luncheon – October
Celebrate German culture with a traditional German feast with live entertainment and friends.

Thanksgiving Luncheon –November
This luncheon is served as a traditional Thanksgiving feast with lively music to celebrate this special American holiday.

Winter

Holiday Celebration – December
Celebrate the holiday season with a wonderful menu, great entertainment and a visit from Santa.

Chinese New Year’s Luncheon – January or February
Come and celebrate with us this most important Chinese holiday with a feast fit for the emperor and traditional entertainment.

St. Patrick's Day Luncheon – March
Serving a traditional St Patrick’s Day meal of corned beef and accompanied with great Irish entertainment.

Holiday Ham Luncheon – December
Join this holiday ham meal with all the trimmings which has become an annual holiday season tradition at the Center.

Game Time

Bingo

Friday, 1 to 3 p.m.
Bingo cards and daubers are sold separately. Cost of cards range from $5 to $8. Daubers cost $2 each.

Card Playing and Bridge

Thursday, noon to 4 p.m.
Come down to the Senior Center to play card games and bridge. Groups are always open to new members joining in the fun.

Chess and Checkers

Tuesday, noon to 4 p.m.
Come down to the Senior Center to play chess or checkers. Groups are always open to new members joining in the fun.

Mah Jongg

Friday, noon to 4 p.m.
A game of Chinese origin usually played by four people with tiles resembling dominoes, which are drawn and discarded until one player wins with a hand of four combinations or three tiles each and a pair of matching tiles. Mah Jongg involves skill, strategy, and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck.

Rummikub

Monday, noon to 4 p.m.
Come down to the Senior Center to play board games. Some board games provided. Members are welcome to bring their own to play. Groups are always open to new members joining in the fun.

Sports Socials

50+ Bocce Ball

Wednesday, 9 a.m. (Seasonal)
Come enjoy the outdoors while playing bocce at Blackberry Farm Park alongside the Stevens Creek Trail. Members can meet new people and have a great time while playing a game of bocce. First time players are welcome, instructions are available.

Golf for Seniors

Monday, 10 a.m. to noon
Tee-up with fellow Cupertino Senior Center members at the Blackberry Farm Golf Course. Course fees apply, sign up in the Pro Shop.

50+ Tennis

Tuesday and Friday, 9 to 11 a.m.
Come play tennis with other members on courts 5 and 6 at Memorial Park. New members are welcome. Equipment not included.

50+ Softball

Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon (Seasonal)
Enjoy the sun and bring a friend to play or watch 50+ Softball. Memorial Park is the home of the Cupertino Sandlot softball group, which warms-up and takes batting practice beginning at 9 a.m. A pick-up game starts promptly at 10 a.m. each week. Participants must bring their own gloves and bats. Pre-registration for 50+ Softball Required.

Ping Pong

Tuesday, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Friday, 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Two ping pong tables are available in a non-competitive environment. Drop-in to play ping pong with friends. Participants must bring their own ping pong paddle. Room capacity is limited to 25 players.

Drop-in Archery

Join other members on the first and third Thursdays of the month, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. to practice your hand-eye coordination and to socialize. Archery is held indoors. Bows and arrows are provided. This social is currently unavailable.

Music and Dance Socials

Karaoke

Thursday, 1:15 to 4:30 p.m.
Join this lively group for singing and dancing every week. Singers and music lovers of all levels are welcome.

Ballroom Dance

Monday, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Do you love to dance? Strap on your dancing shoes and stop by for an afternoon of music and fun. Room capacity limited to 30 persons.

Rhythmaires

Friday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy upbeat Americana music? Come sit and enjoy listening to our Rhythamires Band practice on Friday mornings.
