Hack Cupertino

2023 Event Recap

The last <hack> Cupertino happened on April 15 to 16. In-person for the first time since 2019, this overnight hackathon for 13 to 18-year-old aspiring coders, gave over 90 teens a chance to code an effective and creative service or tool related to this year's secret theme: Community. 28 projects were submitted, and the winning projects were EUDA (Emotion Understanding and Development AI) in 1st place, Safe Streets in 2nd place, and Fair Reads in 3rd place. Thank you all that participated, and we hope to see you at next year’s <hack> Cupertino!

2024 Hack Cupertino registration will open in January 2024, and will take place on April 13 to 14.

What is <hack> Cupertino?

<hack> Cupertino, is a community event planned by the Cupertino Youth Activity Board together and the Cupertino Recreation Department. It is a 13-hour overnight hackathon designed to solve a (secret) problem presented during our Opening Ceremony. This hackathon was created as a way for teens to destress, socialize, and flex their coding skills.
