The City of Cupertino contracts animal licensing, control and services with the City of San Jose. Cupertino residents are encouraged to use City of San Jose's animal licensing, control and services website to get more information. Residents can apply for their dog and cat licenses online or download Animal Licensing Application(PDF, 202KB) . Please be reminded that all dogs and cats in Cupertino are required to have a rabies vaccine and to be licensed annually.

Residents can call Animal Care Center for animal related issues at 408.794.7297 between 7 am - 7 pm. For Licensing questions, please call 408.794.7240, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 4 pm or leave a message after hours. The contact email address is AnimalLicensing@sanjoseca.gov.

For lost pet tours, adoptions, licensing and customer service, the Animal Care Center is open Tuesdays-Saturdays 11 am - 7 pm, and Sundays 11 am - 5 pm. The Animal Care Center offers a low-cost spay/neuter program for feral and domestic cats, as well as Chihuahuas and Pit Bulls.
