For those working, learning, and otherwise spending more time at home, there are many opportunities to conserve water and save money on utilities while sheltering in place.

  • Free gear: Valley Water offers free water conservation devices (shower timers, sprinkler heads, low flow sink aerators, and so much more) that can help you save water. View Valley Water's shopping cart to start saving.
  • Save Water at Home with Free Toolkit: Valley Water’s free Water Wise Home Survey Do-It-Yourself Kit, which can be mailed directly to Cupertino residents, provides the tools needed to measure the flow rate of your shower, check for toilet leaks, and more. This interactive, family-friendly activity will help your household identify opportunities to reduce water use and save money. Once you test your fixtures, you can request free water-efficient showerheads, faucet aerators, and toilet flappers.
  • Conservation Tips: The California Water Service Company, the San Jose Water Company, Valley Water and the California Department of Water Resources offer information and tips on how to conserve water.

Rebates

The City of Cupertino partners with Valley Water to provide water conservation rebates to residents and businesses.

All customers must submit an application and receive written approval in the form of a Notice to Proceed before starting any work on their project or purchasing any qualifying equipment. Projects that have been started or projects that have already been completed prior to the Notice to Proceed are not eligible.
