McClellan Ranch Preserve

EEC

A protected area of importance for wildlife, flora, and fauna, preserved and managed for conservation and to provide special opportunities for education, study, research, and the enjoyment of nature.

Preserve

This 18-acre natural preserve was a horse ranch in the 1930's and 40's. The site houses an Environmental Education Center (EEC) where visitors can learn more about the animals housed there as well as nature information related to the Preserve. Additional buildings include the original ranch house (home to the Santa Clara County Audubon Society), milk barn, livestock barn, a replica of Baer's Blacksmith Shop (originally located at De Anza and Stevens Creek Boulevards), and the old water tower from Parish Ranch (now Memorial Park).
